Pune: 28-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed After Dumper Rams Bike From Behind At Wadachiwadi
Pune, July 25, 2026: A 28-year-old man lost his life in a road accident after a dumper truck allegedly rammed his motorcycle from behind near Wadachi Wadi area of Pune on Friday. The accident occurred on the stretch between the crematorium and Wadachi Wadi village in Survey No. 14.
The deceased has been identified as Rupesh Bansode (28), a resident of Warje Malwadi Gaothan. He was riding his Hero Splendor motorcycle (registration number MH12UR0232) when the dumper struck his vehicle from behind, causing fatal injuries.
Police officials reached the spot after receiving information about the accident and found Bansode lying motionless at the scene. He was shifted to Sassoon General Hospital, where the necessary legal formalities were initiated. Authorities have also contacted the deceased’s family members and informed them about the incident.
According to the preliminary investigation, the dumper involved in the accident was allegedly being driven by Sairaj Shitole (23), a resident of Narhe. Police have identified him as the driver and owner of the vehicle involved in the crash.
A case is being registered against the accused under the relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Motor Vehicles Act. Further investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances leading to the fatal collision, while police have appealed to motorists to exercise caution and follow traffic regulations to prevent such accidents.
