‘No Vehicle Day’: 150 citizens put off their engines in an initiative organised by Bavdhan Citizens Forum
Bavdhan in the last few years saw great development. But the rapidly growing residential areas added to congestion in traffic. But, the residents of Bavdhan and other areas have flexed their idea to put off vehicle engine on first Sunday of every month. The idea that is being point of discussion has inspired residents from other areas, too, to join the walk or cycling with Bavdhan Citizens Forum.
According to the information provided by Dushyant Bhatia, an active and core member of the group, had suggested that “Such initiative will not only benefit the society environmentally but also help us decongest traffic in our area.”
The initiative was held for the second time. ‘No vehicle Day’ was attended by almost 150 people in Bavdhan. It was a massive response since the first time the day was celebrated.
