Pune witnesses a tragic incident as a 16-year-old boy drowns in the swimming pool of Sadhana School. The police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the incident and if proper safety measures were in place.

Pune was struck with sadness when a 16-year-old boy, Krishna Ganesh Shinde, lost his life while swimming in the swimming pool of Sadhana School. The Hadapsar police have registered a case of accidental death and are currently investigating the incident.

Krishna, a ninth-grade student residing in Malwadi Kalubai Vasahat, Hadapsar, decided to take a swim in the school’s pool accompanied by his maternal uncle. The swimming pool, situated near the school’s entrance, became the setting for this tragic incident. Around 9 am on Saturday, Krishna entered the pool while his uncle joined him.

To their horror, Krishna’s uncle realized that the young boy was missing from the water. Frantically searching, he found Krishna submerged in the pool. Prompt action from those present led to Krishna being swiftly pulled out of the water and rushed to a nearby hospital. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, Krishna was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The precise cause of Krishna’s untimely death is yet to be determined, pending the results of the autopsy report. As part of the investigation, the police are looking into whether there were lifeguards present at the swimming pool during the incident, in accordance with standard safety protocols.

This tragic incident serves as a somber reminder of the importance of maintaining strict safety measures and protocols at swimming pools, especially when young individuals are involved.
