PUNE: Air India, now under the stewardship of the Tata Group, introduced its revamped logo on Thursday, marking a significant rebranding initiative. As part of this transformation, the Air India fleet will undergo a fresh paint overhaul. The unveiling ceremony for the new logo and color scheme took place at a high-profile event in Delhi.

The modernized logo offers a fresh perspective on Air India‘s iconic Maharaja mascot, presenting a more sophisticated design adorned with a novel color palette of red, white, and purple. At the logo’s official launch, N Chandrasekaran, the Chairman of Tata Sons, eloquently conveyed that the new emblem embodies boundless prospects, symbolizing a horizon of unlimited possibilities.

The new color scheme retains the strong red lettering of Air India but employs a different font. The airline’s name is rendered in white, set against a red backdrop on the aircraft’s underside, seamlessly integrating with the new color palette.

Air India’s aircraft now boast a revamped livery and design, featuring a motif inspired by the chakras, highlighted by a rich color combination of deep red, aubergine, and gold accents.

A notable transformation lies in the reimagining of the traditional Indian window shape, previously associated with Air India. In the latest rendition, this shape assumes the form of a golden window frame, forming the cornerstone of the new branding design. It symbolically represents an “opportunity window.”
