This influx of vehicles during the Shravan month has occasionally led to congestion in the areas of Trimbakrod and Trimbakeshwar, potentially causing disruptions to public order.
In view of maintaining crowd management and enhancing vigilance, authorities have taken a proactive step by imposing a temporary ban on the entry of private vehicles in Trimbakeshwar from September 2nd to September 4th. This measure seeks to mitigate the anticipated congestion and ensure a smoother experience for the devotees and locals alike.
Traditionally, during the Shravan month, a significant influx of devotees congregates at Trimbakeshwar. On the third Monday, which falls on September 4th this year, a considerable number of worshippers gather for the revered Brahmagiri Pradakshina ritual.
In anticipation of the expected surge in visitors, arrangements have been made for designated parking areas. Khambale, Pahene, and Amboli on Trimbak Road will serve as parking lots for private vehicles. This strategic allocation aims to prevent the streets from becoming overly congested and ensures the smooth flow of pedestrian and vehicular traffic, while also maintaining the sanctity of the pilgrimage experience.
To uphold public safety and ensure proper implementation, Additional Collector Rajendra Wagh has issued an official notification under the Bombay Motor Vehicle Act 115 of 1988. Nashik Rural Police will be actively involved in orchestrating strict security measures in line with this directive.
The distribution of parking facilities has been outlined as follows:
- Khambale: Designated for vehicles traveling from Nashik to Trimbakeshwar.
- Amboli: Allocated for vehicles commuting from Jawhar to Trimbakeshwar.
- Pahne: Reserved for vehicles journeying to Trimbakeshwar via Ghoti.
While these temporary restrictions may inconvenience some, they are geared towards ensuring the safety and convenience of all visitors and residents during this significant period of devotion and pilgrimage.
