‘My Wakad, Smart Wakad’ initiative gives a platform for residents to work towards better health

‘My Wakad, Smart Wakad’, a 250 ₹ crore civic development campaign initiated by Wakad Corporator, Mamta Gaikwad. Various sports facilities were inaugurated by Mayor Mai Dhore.
According to the information, Mamta Gaikwad, Vinayak Gaikwad, various infrastructures have been developed by the civic administration that includes Smart footpaths, Kusti Sankul, Gym, Football Turf Ground, and recreation centers, storm water line, etc.
Upon talking with Mamta Gaikwad, she said, “This development should make Wakad smart and boost its development in the PCMC. This has been a long standing demand of the Wakad residents. Thankfully, we were able to complete it within the designated time frame.”
In order to understand the feedback of the residents of Wakad, Pune Pulse tried talking to the citizens.
Sachin Londhe, while talking to Pune Pulse about the development said, “Development initiated by Mamta Gaikwad has met our expectations. We are thankful to her that she understood the need to upgrade our area. However, same needs to be done with Datta Mandir road. The corporator and civic body must ensure the revamp of the Dutta Mandir road.”
Tejaswini Dhomse, an active citizen and a resident of Ward 25, who is also a chairperson of Pimpri Chinchwad Housing Society Federation said, “Though I live in ward 25, I am amazed and overwhlemed with the development of ward 26 by none other than Vinayak Gaikwad and corporator, Mamta Gaikwad.”
