Actor Ayesha Khan Detained During NEET Reform Protest in Mumbai
Actor Ayesha Khan was detained by the Mumbai Police on Wednesday while attempting to join a protest held in support of students demanding educational reforms. The protest, organised by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), began in Delhi and has since spread to several cities across the country.

Ayesha, who gained popularity after featuring in the song Shararat from the film Dhurandhar, shared several videos on her Instagram Stories from inside a police van and later from Worli Police Station.
In the videos, the actor claimed that she was detained even though she had not raised any slogans or actively participated in the protest. She said she had reached the protest site around 4 pm to express solidarity with the students.
According to Ayesha, she and two female friends were standing by the roadside after her brother and a few male friends were taken into a police van. She alleged that they were not protesting, carrying placards or shouting slogans when police detained them.
One of the videos shared by Ayesha shows police escorting her into a police van while she repeatedly asks why she is being detained.
