New restrictions imposed in Pune

Pune divisional commissioner Saurabh Rao on March 12, 2021 informed the new restrictions to be imposed in Pune city. A joint meeting of deputy chief minister and Pune district guardian minister Ajit Pawar, local MLA’s, Member of Parliament, Pune mayor were all present at Council Hall in Pune. Soon after the meeting, Saurabh Rao held a press conference and informed the new restrictions.
The new restrictions are imposed in view of the surge in Covid 19 cases.
Schools, colleges, to remain closed till March 31, 2021
Restrictions relaxed for Class X, XII
Public gardens to remain open during morning hours while they shall remain closed in the evening hours.
Night curfew to remain in force wherein movement within the city between 11 pm – 6 am shall remain restricted. Newspaper vendors, milk vendors and other emergency services exempted from this restrictions.

No restrictions on operations of Gyms.
Restaurants and hotels to close by 10 pm (These establishments should run on 50 percent capacity). Each hotel and restaurant can keep the pickup and home delivery operation open between 10 pm – 11 pm
Wedding, wedding related functions final rites, social gatherings, police permission a must, violators shall face strict action and also the land owners could face sealing of their property. Gathering of upto 50 people allowed only at these programmes.
Malls, cinema halls to close by 10 pm
Club houses in societies to remain closed
MPSC – UPSC – coaching centers, libraries are allowed to remain open and operate with 50 percent capacity only.
