Pune : Tenant registration software to undergo update post-Diwali
PUNE: The tenant registration software in the state will undergo an update after Diwali to fix technical issues and ensure that applications are processed within the mandatory two-day timeframe.
As per state deputy inspector-general (IT) Abhishek Deshmukh, the current software version 1.90 will be phased out and replaced with version 2.0.
This new version will expedite the application process and help sub-registrars meet the required time limit. Initially, the updated software will be introduced in two districts before being implemented statewide.
The registration department has received numerous complaints regarding the clearance of leave and license documents across the state.
On average, 3,000-4,000 tenant registration applications are submitted daily. To address the glitches in the current software, officials are collaborating with the National Informatics Centre to update it.
Last month, Pune district registration officials instructed offices to clear all pending online tenant applications within three to four days, and currently, there are no pending applications.
The new software, version 2.0, will come with a user-friendly interface and offer payment options through the pay2igr system.
It will also include a QR code on each page of registered documents, allowing for easy verification of details such as property number, name, tenant information, and application date.
Additionally, the new software will be integrated with the CCTNS police network to resume the online police verification system.
