PCMC invites applications from Architects and Engineers to participate in ‘Streets for People Challenge’ competition

The Streets for People Challenge is an initiative of the Smart Cities Mission, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MOHUA), Government of India, to inspire cities to create walking-friendly streets through quick measures, in response to COVID-19. The Challenge aims to create flagship walking initiatives in cities, which focus on placemaking and liveability. The competition aims to crowdsource innovative ideas for designing and testing the pilot interventions through the method of tactical urbanism.

According to the update provided by BRTS Officer, Vijay Bhojane, the last date to register for the competetion will be in Monday, 22 March, 2021. The winner of the competetion will win 25,000 ₹ while the second prize will win 15,000 ₹ followed up by third prize of 10,000 ₹.
