Bengaluru: People can enjoy their favourite meals at home thanks to food delivery services, but social media is frequently ablaze with complaints about the quality of the food that is delivered and, even worse, about discovering dead things in the food.
A Bengaluru woman went through the same issue after discovering a cockroach in the chicken fried rice she had ordered from a restaurant using the online food delivery app Zomato.
As per further information from the X handle of the customer (Harshitha), “I ordered chicken fried rice on Zomato from a restaurant ‘TAPRI BY THE CORNER’. I found a cockroach in my food. Absolutely disgusted with my order! This is completely unacceptable and unhygienic. Need an immediate resolution.”
To this, Zomato delivered an apology on X “That’s really unexpected, Harshitha. We can understand how you must be feeling. Could you please help us with your registered contact number/ Order ID via a private message so that we can look into this immediately?”
