Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee 5th Meeting held in Pune Division
Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee 5th Meeting of Pune Division was held on December 20, 2023 at conference Hall of Divisional Railway Manager office.
Divisional Railway Manager Indu Dubey presided over the meeting. Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Dr. Milind Hirve co-ordinate the meeting. The members present in the meeting gave suggestions regarding the facilities and problems of the passengers and discussed them with railway administration. Divisional Railway Manager Indu Dubey assured to find appropriate solution to the issues.
DRUCC members of Pune Division, Shivnath Biyani, Gopal Tiwari, Bashir Sutar, Suresh Mane, Kishor Bhorawat, Nikhil Kachi, Tanaji Karale, Adv. Appasaheb Shinde, Ajit Chougule, Dilip Batwal, and Vijay Chawan were present in the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Divisional Railway Manager Indu Dubey gave detailed information about various development works, passenger facilities, infrastructure works, and activities on Pune Division.
She said that proper steps are being taken for safe and timely running of railways, proper maintenance of railway tracks, strengthening of signal system etc. Pune Railway Administration is committed to provide the best services to its passengers. She expressed for members to make meaningful efforts and co-operate for the development of railways, expansion of passenger facilities and increase in revenue.
The members present in the meeting raised various issues such as starting intercity express between Pune-Kolhapur, re-starting of Mumbai-Kolhapur Sahyadri Express, availability of trains for Miraj to Kolhapur for daily commuters especially in the morning,Pune-Mumbai-Pune Pragati Expresss stoppage at Chinchwad, increase number of locals between Pune-Lonavala and availability of afternoon local, extension of Pune-Ahmedabad, Pune-Bhuj, Pune-Bikaner and Daund-Indore etc. upto Miraj & Kolhapur, Starting of new trains from Kolhapur to Kalaburagi and Miraj to Belgavi, Pandharpur, Satara. Kolhapur – Hazrat Nizamuddin to run daily, Stoppage of Hazrat Nizamuddin – Goa, Kolhapur – Ahmedabad, Kolhapur – Mumbai, Dadar – Mysore Shravati Express, Dadar – Puducherry Express at Lonand, Stoppage of Yashwantpur Sampark Kranti, Humsafar Express at Satara, Development of Lonand station, installation of sufficient number of signages at Pune station, facility of lift and escalator, CCTV, security, solution to parking issue, developing passenger facilities, encroachment free railway premises and Coach Indicators at Hadapsar Railway station.
Divisional Railway Manager assured to take appropriate steps on to this.
