Shri Ram International Airport in Ayodhya to be inaugurated by PM Modi on December 30
Flight test was conducted at Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport in Ayodhya, which is set to be inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi on December 30.
The airport boasts a 2200-meter-long runway, Aeronautical Ground Lights (AGL) infrastructure, Doppler Very High-Frequency Omni Range (DVOR), and an Instrument Landing System (ILS), making it suitable for day and night operations and low visibility conditions exceeding 550 meters
The consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir is scheduled for January 22.
Ayodhya Airport, operations commencing on January 5, 2024, according to Uttar Pradesh Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh. Singh also highlighted the extensive preparations made for devotees, including travel and accommodation facilities.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) granted the Aerodrome License on December 14, marking a significant milestone for the time-bound project.
Airlines company Indigo will offer flights to major cities such as Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Goa.
