Due to the bad condition of the road from Nande to Mahalunge, the citizens of Nande village came together and protested against the administration.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Abhijit Chowgule, Resident of Mahalunge, said “The road work of the road going from Mahalunge to Nande hasn’t been done since several years. The deteriorating conditions of the road are increasing day-by-day with no one paying attention. There is a continuous heavy traffic flowing on the road. The patch is of around 2 to 3 km which is in very bad condition.”

As per further information shared by Abhijit Chowgule, for the past several months, the road from Nande to Mahalunge has deteriorated due to the negligence of the contractor and the administration, and due to huge potholes, it is difficult for the villagers to use the road and they are suffering. Frustrated with the poor condition of the road, the villagers finally got aggressive and took to the road.

Due to the protest, which lasted for about one and a half hours, there was a huge traffic jam. At this time, the angry Nande citizens warned that if the road work is not done by January 2024, they will lock down the office of the construction department. The Nande citizens raised slogans and protested against the administration and the contractor.
