A resident informed that the woman also raised her hand and threatened to throw stones on those obstructing her way. The residents dialled the control room of police since the matter went beyond their control. The woman is a resident of a society.

The young woman left the police shocked. After this, the police used force to detain the woman. The residents of the society have claimed that the woman was the daughter of a senior police officer and she was immediately allowed to let go after giving her a stern warning.

The Wanowrie police officials confirmed the incident, stating that the drunken girl indeed had attacked some female police officers. She has been given a warning by the police, they added.

A society resident narrated the incident to Pune Pulse. He said, “The daughter of P.I. Dattatray Bagve, Ms. Nishigandha created ruckus in our society between 8:00 pm to 10:00. She appeared to be totally intoxicated with alcohol and ganja. Several affected members got together and filed a police complaint. Statements of several members were taken. When the police came with the van she bit a lady police officer in uniform, kicked and punched the lady constables who tried to subdue her. She shattered the glass window panes of the police van causing extensive damage. She even manhandled the police driver, trying to strangulate his neck.”

The resident further stated that she threw telephone instruments on the road, broke several chairs, kicked and partially damaged the society office door, where all important documents of members are stored along with precious physical assets. She even assaulted a lady military officer by violently pulling her hair. As a result an atmosphere of terror prevailed in the society.

Small children playing outside are severely traumatised after witnessing such violent psychotic behaviour. Prior to that she along with her mother kept society members hostage for more than 5 hours by closing the society gate and blocked entry and exit of resident members, the member informed.

He added, “All these shocking incidents have been captured on CCTV cameras.
The police took her and her mother to Wanowrie Police Station, kept her for half an hour and again released her. I suspect this may have been due to the fact that her father is at a senior position of PI in the police force.
It appears they have not done her medical or lodged an FIR and arrested her, just to protect her. “
