Railway officials have reported that all north-bound trains are fully booked until May, and they anticipate a further increase in bookings leading up to June. Travel agents have also noted a surge in airfares across various sectors, attributing it to the clash between the general election and summer vacations. For instance, the one-way airfare from Pune to Patna in June ranges from Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000.
Another individual, aiming to travel home on May 25, is excited to cast their vote in Ranchi, where their brother and close friends will also be present on the voting day.
