Audio Band Karo’: Rohit Sharma’s Hilarious Request After Viral Video Controversy

Rohit Sharma, the Mumbai Indians (MI) and India batter, recently made a humorous request to the broadcasters to turn off the audio during a fun chat with Dhawal Kulkarni ahead of the MI vs LSG game in IPL 2024. 

This came after a recent viral video incident where a conversation between Sharma and KKR coaching staff member Abhishek Nayar was misinterpreted by fans.

The audio of the chat, posted by KKR on their social media handle, led fans to mistakenly assume that Rohit was discussing his departure from MI after the ongoing season.

A few days later, while having a light-hearted conversation with Dhawal Kulkarni before MI’s fixture against LSG, Rohit noticed he was being recorded and humorously pleaded with the broadcaster to shut down the audio.

“Bhai audio band karo haan, already ek audio ne mera waat laga diya” (Brother, please turn off the audio, one audio has already made things difficult for me),” he said, a statement that quickly went viral.

Meanwhile, in the ongoing IPL 2024, Rohit Sharma has had a mixed season. He has scored 349 runs from 13 innings at an average of 29.08 and a strike rate of 145.42, including one hundred. Despite a strong start to the season, scoring 297 runs in the first seven innings, his form dropped significantly in the last six games, where he only managed to score 52 runs off 59 balls at a strike rate of 91.

Another added, “She is asking him to stay for sure,” reflecting the fans’ hope that Rohit Sharma would remain with the team.
