A video capturing a dangerous stunt on a Bengaluru flyover gained widespread attention on social media as it showed a man riding a bike with a woman sitting on his lap. The viral clip prompted swift action from the Bengaluru traffic police, who traced the duo using the bike’s number plate and CCTV footage.

In the undated video, the woman is seen precariously perched on one side of the bike, her hands wrapped around the rider’s neck. The incident occurred on the Hebbal flyover in north Bengaluru.
Identified as Silambarasen, a 21-year-old resident of MV Layout, Shampura, Bengaluru, the biker now faces legal consequences for his reckless behaviour. The traffic police seized the vehicle and registered a case against him under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Motor Vehicles Act.
DCP Traffic North, Bengaluru, affirmed the authorities’ commitment to holding the offender accountable, stating that they would investigate any past violations as well.
This incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of negligent driving and underscores the importance of strict enforcement of traffic regulations to ensure public safety.
