Scam Alert: No Free 3-Month Jio Recharge for Anant Ambani's Wedding
A fake message is being shared on WhatsApp, falsely claiming that Reliance Jio is offering a free 3-month recharge to celebrate Anant Ambani’s wedding. The message, written in Hindi, tells users to click on a link to get this offer, but it’s a scam. News agencies checked with Reliance Jio, which confirmed that no such offer exists and warned users to ignore the message as it could lead to financial loss.
The fake message says that on the occasion of Anant Ambani’s marriage on 12th July, Mukesh Ambani is giving 3 months of free recharge worth Rs 799 to everyone in India. It directs users to an unknown site called MahaCashback. Reliance Jio emphasized that users should only recharge their numbers through official channels like the MyJio app or trusted payment apps like Google Pay.

There are several signs that this message is a scam. It asks users to “click on the blue link” and uses an unofficial site for the recharge. If Reliance Jio were offering such a significant promotion, it would be widely covered in the media. To stay safe, users should only use official channels for transactions.
