Pune And Pimpri Chinchwad Schools Closed On July 25
Pune district collector Dr Suhas Diwase on Thursday morning issued orders stating that schools in Pune City, Pimpri Chinchwad will remain closed.
Due to a heavy rainfall warning (red alert) issued by the Meteorological Department for Pune city, Bhor, Velha, Maval, Mulshi, and the Khadakwasla area of Haveli taluka in the next few hours, District Collector and District Disaster Management Authority Chairman Dr. Suhas Divse has ordered the closure of schools in these areas on July 25.
It has been raining continuously since last few hours. The water discharge from the Khadakwasla dam was also increased from 7000 cusecs yesterday morning to 40000 cusecs today morning which may lead to water logging in low lying areas.
