Wanowrie’s transformation from a largely underdeveloped pocket to one of Pune’s well-established suburbs reflects decades of consistent planning, civic commitment, and development-driven leadership. Residents credit this steady progress to the efforts of Congress leaders and social activists who prioritised public welfare and long-term infrastructure over short-term politics.

Several landmark projects have shaped Wanowrie’s urban landscape. These include East Pune’s first Late Bapusaheb Kedari Swimming Pool, the Late Vitthalrao Shivarkar Garden, a 90-lakh-litre overhead water tank at Ramtekdi, enhanced water storage capacity at Fakhri Hill, and the prestigious Mahatma Phule Sanskrutik Bhavan—the first cultural hall of its kind in East Pune. The groundwork for these initiatives was laid by visionary leaders such as former corporators Shivaji Kedari and Bhavana Kedari.

Building on this strong legacy of Congress leaders is Sahil Shivaji Kedari, President of the OBC Cell, Pune City District Congress Committee, who is contesting the PMC Elections 2026. Deeply influenced by his family’s lifelong commitment to public service, Sahil Kedari has grown up closely observing civic administration and grassroots problem-solving, particularly for economically weaker sections.

A Law and MBA graduate, he brings together academic training and extensive field experience. His structured, solution-oriented approach has helped him lead and support multiple initiatives. Through Bapusaheb Kedari Pratishthan, his family has consistently organised social, cultural, and religious programmes, earning widespread trust and participation from residents.

Wanowrie has witnessed large-scale infrastructure development over the years, including road widening and concretisation across Shivarkar Road, Salunke Vihar–Oxford Village Road, Azad Nagar–Mohammadwadi Road, and several internal roads in Kedari Nagar, Shanti Nagar, Vikas Nagar, and Azad Nagar. Long-pending water supply and sewage issues were resolved, streetlights and high-mast lights installed, public bus services introduced, green cover expanded through tree plantation drives, and reputed educational institutions in the vicinity.

With renewed energy and a technology-driven development roadmap, Sahil Shivaji Kedari now seeks the support of Wanowrie residents. His vision focuses on inclusive growth, transparent governance, efficient civic services, and sustainable urban planning for the ward stretching from Dobarwadi to NIBM Road.

APPEALING TO CITIZENS TO ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN SHAPING THEIR FUTURE, SAHIL KEDARI URGES VOTERS TO EXERCISE THEIR DEMOCRATIC RIGHT AND SUPPORT LEADERSHIP COMMITTED TO CONSISTENT, PEOPLE-CENTRIC DEVELOPMENT FOR WANOWRIE.
