A Massive Turnout of Students at Civic Awareness Program Organized by MLA Mahesh Landge in Pimpri-Chinchwad
Over one lakh students from 120 schools in the Pimpri-Chinchwad area participated in the “Service-Security-Dedication”, an initiative led by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Mahesh Landge. Through the BJP, this initiative is conducted nationwide. In the Bhosari constituency, MLA Mahesh Landge implemented the program effectively, receiving enthusiastic participation from students and schools alike.

The program aims to promote social service, civic responsibility, and awareness of local projects among the youth. How do you feel about Pimpri-Chinchwad city? Which projects do you like? What have you learned from these projects? What information do you have about them? These were some of the questions posed to students.
The fortnight, celebrated from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday to the anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri, encourages students to engage with community development and express their ideas. Participants tackled questions about their perceptions of Pimpri-Chinchwad and the projects within the city, leading to an impressive turnout of over one lakh student registrations.
As part of the initiative, various competitions were organized, including essay writing, public speaking, and painting contests held across municipal and private schools. Students were encouraged to share their insights on the Constitution Building and other significant projects in the city.
Coordinator Shraddha Panmand highlighted the importance of the program stating, “The initiative aims to familiarize students with the city’s infrastructure, including the ‘Waste to Energy’ project, Samvidhan Bhavan, and the Statue of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Metro City Pimpri-Chinchwad, Sports Hub Pimpri-Chinchwad, Clean City-Green City, and more. We want them to study these projects and generate innovative ideas for future development.”
The competitions saw broad participation, with students presenting their thoughts through essays, speeches, and artistic expressions. Many showcased their creativity while addressing key topics related to the city’s growth and sustainability.
In response to the initiative, Landge remarked, “Pimpri-Chinchwad is on a path toward sustainable development. This campaign is a small step to raise awareness about ambitious projects and inform the new generation about their benefits. Our efforts are in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a ‘Strong India.”
The “Service-Security-Dedication” fortnight has successfully engaged the youth, fostering a sense of community involvement and responsibility among students in the region.
