Mumbai: Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has emerged as one of India’s highest tax-paying celebrities, having contributed a massive ₹120 crore in taxes for the financial year 2024-25. Reports suggest that the 82-year-old star’s total earnings for the year stood at ₹350 crore, derived from films, brand endorsements, and hosting the popular quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC).

A source revealed, “From starring in some of the biggest Indian films to being the preferred choice for numerous brands, Amitabh Bachchan remains in high demand even at 82. His income across all platforms makes him one of the top-earning individuals in the film industry.”
According to reports, Amitabh paid his final advance tax installment of ₹52.50 crore on March 15, 2025, reinforcing his reputation for financial discipline and timely tax payments.

Amitabh is currently hosting Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 16. On the film front, he was last seen in Vettaiyan alongside Rajinikanth and the sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD. He will next appear in Section 84, a courtroom drama directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, and the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin.
