Amol Balwadkar Foundation, PMC and Adar Poonawalla to Launch ‘Mission Nirmal’ Cleanliness Drive on PM Modi’s 75th Birthday

Pune: On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, the Pune Municipal Corporation, in collaboration with Adar Poonawalla and the Amol Balwadkar Foundation, will launch a special cleanliness campaign titled Mission Nirmal.
The initiative has been planned to address persistent sanitation challenges faced by residents in Baner, Balewadi, Pashan, Sutarwadi, Someshwarwadi, Sus, and Malunge areas. The campaign aims to transform these neighborhoods into clean, attractive, and model localities with the active participation of citizens.
Organizers have appealed to residents to share photographs, Google locations, and details of garbage spots and unhygienic areas with the campaign team, so that swift action can be taken.
As part of the program, a cleanliness drive will be held on Sunday, 21st September 2025, at 9:30 am, near Supreme Amador Society, Pancard Road, Baner.
The cleanliness drive will be inaugurated in the presence of Chandrakant Dada Patil, Minister of Higher and Technical Education and Parliamentary Affairs, Maharashtra State, and Dheeraj Ghate, President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Pune City, who will grace the occasion as chief guests.
