In a tense turn of events, panic gripped Pune and Mumbai as a bomb threat call rattled the police control room. The call, received around 5 PM on Friday evening, warned of imminent explosions at key locations including Shivajinagar, Pimpri Chinchwad, Pune Railway Station, and Mumbai’s Bandra and Gateway of India.

The threat, issued by an individual identified as Praveen Pandit Yeshi, prompted swift action from law enforcement. Bund Garden police station promptly registered a complaint, initiating a thorough investigation into the matter. Despite rigorous searches by police personnel, along with the deployment of sniffer dogs and bomb detection teams, no suspicious items or individuals were discovered at the mentioned sites.

The seriousness of the situation was compounded by the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and other dignitaries in Pune at the time. However, their visit proceeded without incident, reassuring the public of the authorities’ diligence in ensuring safety.
