Bavdhan society wins top award for practising environment friendly initiatives

Pune : Pebbles-II, a residential society in Bavdhan, has won the ‘The Best Society’ award named as ‘Heetvardhini award’ from Poornam Eco-vision Foundation for the conservation of the environment.
This award is bestowed upon Pebbles-II society because of its numerous measures undertaken to conserve the environment. It was a fierce competition between societies across the entire Pune city. The award constitutes a trophy, certificate of honour & cash prize.
The society has thanked Poornam Ecovision Foundation for this award and their efforts to visit and verify all the green initiatives which the Pebbles-II society has undertaken.
Some of the measures are double recycling of water, rainwater harvesting, individual solar water heaters, solar panels for electricity generation, wet waste composting machines and other measures, segregation and proper disposal of all types of dry waste, electric vehicle charging stations, bird feeders with 80 plus plant species in premises, own a plant initiative by families, zero tolerance for water loss with high tech mechanism of real-time water management system in all water tanks and many more.
