Bengaluru, November 3 – A shocking case of animal cruelty has emerged from the Bagaluru area of Bengaluru, where a domestic worker was caught on camera killing a puppy inside an apartment lift. The incident, which took place on October 31, came to light after the CCTV footage went viral, sparking outrage among animal lovers.

According to police, the accused woman, identified as Pushpalatha, was hired by pet owner Raashi Poojari to take care of her dog, a small puppy named Goofy. The worker was being paid for pet care and was also provided with food and accommodation at her employer’s home.

The CCTV footage shows Pushpalatha brutally smashing the puppy to the floor inside the lift while taking it for a walk. Later, she was seen carrying the dead pet out of the lift. Initially, she allegedly lied to the owner, claiming that the dog had accidentally fallen while exiting the lift.
