In a revealing social media post, a Bengaluru woman shared her astonishment at discovering her Uber bills exceed half her monthly rent. Using a feature from the financial app CRED, she was able to track and realize the extent of her travel expenses.

“I can’t believe my Uber expenses are more than half the amount I pay as rent in Bengaluru. For me, this has got to be the most useful feature by CRED till date!” she wrote, sharing a screenshot of her Uber transactions.
The screenshot showed that between July 1 and July 25, she made 74 Uber transactions, amounting to ₹16,600. Her post, shared on July 25, quickly went viral, garnering over 95,000 views and counting.
Many users commented on the post, sharing their own experiences and thoughts on the high cost of living in Bengaluru.

“That’s the only reason I bought a two-wheeler for myself here. Super convenient and don’t have to think twice about going anywhere. And most important. Don’t have to deal with ride cancellation and high ride prices in rain,” shared a fifth.
