Bhosari Assembly constituency shines in PMRDA’s ₹3,838 crore budget
Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has earmarked ₹1,967 crore to make the Pavana, Indrayani, and Mula rivers pollution-free. Additionally, priority has been given to the Indrayani River rejuvenation project, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), and the establishment of an International Industrial Exhibition Center. The focus highlights the importance of the Bhosari assembly constituency in the PMRDA’s budget.
As per information, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who serves as the appointed chairperson of PMRDA, has approved a budget of ₹3,838 crore for various projects. The budget provides significant support for housing schemes, river improvement projects, and the International Industrial Exhibition Center in the Bhosari constituency, which is represented by BJP MLA Mahesh Landge.
Under the housing project plan in PMRDA’s area number 12, phase 1 will see the construction of 4,289 housing units. Also, an additional 6,452 units are proposed for phase 2. The construction of the Pune International Exhibition Center has also gained momentum, with approval given for the development of the exhibition hall on a PPP basis. Additionally, approximately ₹982 crore has been allocated for facilities such as a fire station, administrative building, bus depot, and metro station.
“We have consistently advocated for the Indrayani River improvement project, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and the Industrial Exhibition Center in Pimpri-Chinchwad. The environmental department has recently approved the river development project, and now funding has been made available through PMRDA. There is no doubt that these projects will serve as a milestone in the city’s development,” said Landge.
