Traffic Diversions Announced In Pune Ahead Of Prime Minister’s Visit For Shivaji Nagar Swargate Metro Route Inauguration
Pune, September 25: In light of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit to Pune, the Pune City Traffic Police Deputy Commissioner’s Office has issued orders for temporary traffic arrangements on September 26 to ensure the smooth and safe flow of traffic. Various drop points and parking locations have been designated throughout the city.
Drop points have been identified at: Dandekar Bridge to Nilayam Bridge (Sinhagad Road), Savarkar Statue to Nilayam Bridge, New English School Tilak Road to Visava Maruti, Sanas Statue Square to Puram Square, SP College Main Gate, Nath Pai Square to Alka Square, Alka Square to Bhide Junction, and VVIP parking.
Parking spaces have been designated at: Bhide Bridge riverbed (subject to weather conditions), Nilayam Talkies, Patil Plaza, Vimalabai Garware School, New English School Tilak Road, Abasaheb Garware College, DP Road near Mhatre Bridge, Kataria High School, New English School Ramanbagh, Minerva Parking Mandai, Harjeevan Hospital Savarkar Square, Hamalwada Parking, and PMPML ground Puram Square.
For buses arriving for the event, parking has been arranged at DP Road Kothrud, Shivneri Road, and Market Yard.
Parking routes for buses are as follows:
– From Khandojibaba Square to Tilak Square to Senadatta Police Chowki, take a right turn at Mhatre Bridge and left to DP Road.
– Buses arriving from Savarkar Square will proceed straight from Dandekar Bridge to Rajaram Bridge, then take a right turn to DP Road.
– Buses coming from Sinhagad Road will follow the route from Dandekar Bridge to Savarkar Statue, Mitramandal Square, Volga Square, and Satara Road Market Yard Junction, leading to Shivneri Road for parking.
Pune City Traffic Branch Deputy Commissioner Amol Zende has appealed to citizens attending the event to use the designated drop points and park their vehicles only in the allocated parking areas.
