Pune: On Tuesday, the Fire and Fury Corps announced that Captain Geetika Koul has achieved the remarkable feat of becoming the first female medical officer in the Indian Army to be deployed at Siachen, which is renowned as the highest battlefield in the world.
Taking to X, Fire and Fury Corps proudly declared that Captain Geetika Koul, a member of the esteemed Snow Leopard Brigade, has achieved a significant milestone. After completing the rigorous induction training at Siachen Battle School, Captain Geetika Koul has become the first woman medical officer of the Indian Army to be deployed at the Siachen, the world’s highest battlefield.

As per the information provided, this accomplishment comes after she successfully finished the demanding induction training at the prestigious Siachen Battle School. The training encompasses acclimatization to high altitudes, survival skills and specialized medical procedures.
