Casting work for first pier​ of Pune Metro Line 3 started

Pune : The casting work of the first pier of Pune Metro Line 3 (Hinjawadi to Shivaji Nagar) began on April 13, at Ganeshkhind road.  Inauguration of 1st pier casting work held today at the hands of Dr. Suhas Diwase, PMRDA Metropolitan Commissioner and Alok Kapoor, CEO, Pune IT City Metro Rail Limited. Rinaz Pathan, PMRDA Superintending Engineer, Vivek Kharwadkar, PMRDA chief engineer, Aniruddha Pawaskar, Superintending Engineer (Water Supply – PMC), V. G. Kulkarni, Chief Engineer (Road projects PMC) and other TPL and Metro company officials were present at the occasion. 

The 23.3-km Pune Metro line 3 project connecting Hinjawadi to Shivajinagar, is being jointly developed by Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA), Tata Group’s TRIL Urban Transport Private Limited and Siemens Project Ventures GmbH (TRIL UTPL + SPVG). The consortium has established a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) company called Pune IT City Metro Rail Limited.
