QS Subject Wise Ranking 2022 announced ; SPPU ranks 14th nationally
Pune : – In the pursuit of academic excellence, the university has set numerous benchmarks in higher education in India and has evolved as a centre for quality education and cutting-edge research.
International ranking agency, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) that analyze universities globally have recently announced their Subject Wise World University Rankings 2022.
The University has been placed in the bracket of 501-550, in the Subject – Chemistry. A total of 1543 universities and institutions are ranked across 51 subjects This is an upward movement from the 550-600 bracket in last year.
The University is ranked at number 14 in the Nation in this subject, with most of the places ahead being occupied by the Institutes of National importance like IITs and IISc. Notably, amongst the State Universities, the SPPU is at the second rank with only one State University ahead in this list.
This has brought the SPPU on the threshold of top 500 institutions globally.
In the QS system, the universities are assessed on their academic reputation, employer reputation, research publications and citations and international outreach with respect to faculty and students. It is indeed a proud moment for all of us to see the University making steady progress in the global education scenario.
