Ghaziabad: In a distressing incident, a woman ran over a child with her car in the SG Grand Society, Rajendra Nagar Extension, Ghaziabad, during the early hours of Tuesday. The incident, which took place around 4 PM, was captured on CCTV and has since gone viral on social media.

The video footage shows several children playing in the society compound when the woman, reportedly a visitor, drove her car over one of them. As the child got trapped under the wheel, a man rushed from behind and pulled the child to safety. The woman initially stepped out of the vehicle and approached the injured child but quickly got back into her car and fled the scene.

This incident bears resemblance to a case in Vasai, near Mumbai, in December last year, where a six-year-old boy was run over by a car in Naipada Village. The child, who was playing near garbage mounds in an industrial area, miraculously survived the accident.
