Central Railway Takes Action Against Un-authorized Hawkers On Trains And Stations In Pune Division
Under the guidance of Indu Dubey Divisional Railway Manager, Pune Division to enhance passenger safety and convenience, Pune Division has launched a drive to curb un-authorized hawking on trains and at railway stations.
The drive is being jointly conducted by Commercial and RPF department to prevent unscrupulous hawkers and vendors from causing inconvenience to passengers.
The drive also aims to prevent vending of un-hygienic food and non-approved packed drinking water and overcharging on various food items. On 15/10/2024 & 16/10/2024, a total of 17 un-authorized hawkers were detained for prosecution. The said drive was conducted in train Nos. 12627, 11301, 11029, 11030 and at Pune, Daund, Ahmednagar and Miraj stations.
