Chandan Nagar Police Arrests Zoomcar App User : Recover Cars Worth Rs 60 Lakh Near Rajasthan-Pakistan Border

Pune: In a shocking incident, Chandan Nagar Police have also seized cars booked on the popular Zoom Car App and also arrested a person who allegedly duped Zoom car for Rs 60 lakh by indulging in embezzlement and fraud.
As per information, a case has been registered under sections 420, 406, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code after a complaint was filed regarding cheating of Rs 60 Lakh by Zoom Car Company.
During the probe, the Chandan Nagar police team conducted technical analysis and through confidential informants found out that the accused named Sufiyanje Chauhan was in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Hence, the police team searched for him and detained him. During the interrogation, it was revealed that he and his accomplice, Mohammed Sama used to buy cars from Mumbai and Pune and sell them to unknown persons in Rajasthan which was used in illegal activities.
A car worth 20 lakh rupees has been seized from Barmer, Rajasthan. Also, while searching for the vehicle in the registered crime, it has come to light that the accused had earlier fraudulently purchased a car. Out of the two cars sold in Rajasthan, one car was worth Rs 15 lakh and the other car was worth Rs 25 lakh. Both the cars were seized by the police. Further investigation into the matter is on.
