No more waiting in long lines—now you can access your balance information with just a few clicks. Here’s a simple guide on how to check your SBI balance online using different methods.

Check Balance via Missed Call Banking

SBI provides a missed call banking service for balance checks. To use this service, you need to register first:

  1. Open your messaging app on your mobile phone.
  2. Type “REG <your account number>”.
  3. Send it to 09223488888 from your registered mobile number.

Once registered, you can use these toll-free numbers:

  • 9223766666: Call this number to get your SBI balance.
  • 9223866666: Call this number for the last five transaction details.

Check Balance via WhatsApp

You can also use WhatsApp to check your SBI balance. Here’s how:

  1. Save the number +919022690226 on your smartphone.
  2. Open WhatsApp and search for this number.
  3. Start a chat by typing “Hi” in the message box.
  4. Select “Get Balance” from the options.

This will display your SBI account balance. WhatsApp Banking can also provide mini statements, account statements, pension slips, and information on loans and other services.

Check Balance via SMS

To use SMS for balance checks, follow the same registration steps as for missed call banking. After registering, do the following:

  1. Open your messaging app.
  2. Type “BAL”.
  3. Send it to +919223766666 from your registered mobile number.

You’ll receive a message with your account balance. To check a mini statement, send “MSTMT”, and for MOD balance, send “MODBAL”.

Check Balance via the Yono App

Yono is a comprehensive mobile app for SBI services. Here’s how to use it:

  1. Download and install the Yono app from the Android or iOS app store.
  2. Log in using your username and password.
  3. Set up your PIN or biometrics.
  4. On the home screen, tap “View Balance” to see your account balance.

Check Balance via Net Banking

For those who prefer using a computer, SBI offers a net banking service. Follow these steps:

  1. Visit SBI’s online banking website on your mobile or desktop browser.
  2. Click “Login” under Personal Banking (or Corporate Banking if applicable).
  3. Enter your username, password, and the captcha code.
  4. You’ll receive an OTP on your registered mobile number; enter it in the required field.
  5. Once logged in, go to the “Account Summary” tab and select “Click here for balance” under Transaction Accounts to view your balance.
