CISF personnel at Pune Airport made a seizure today, apprehending a passenger who was found carrying a large amount of cash. The individual was discovered with 87,500 Saudi Riyal, which is approximately worth Rs 19.5 lakh.

The cash was concealed around the passenger’s waist and within their baggage. This raised immediate concerns about the source and legality of the funds. 

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officers conducted a thorough inspection of the passenger’s belongings. Their alertness and keen eye led to the discovery of the hidden cash.

Following the apprehension, the passenger was handed over to Customs authorities for further investigation. Customs officials will now conduct a detailed probe into the matter to determine the origin of the funds and whether any regulations were violated.
