Procedure for Updating Aadhaar Card Details Online:

1. Visit the Official myAadhaar Portal:

2. Select ‘Proceed to Update Address’:

   Once logged in, choose the ‘Proceed to Update Address’ option to initiate the update process.

3. Enter One-Time Password (OTP):

   Provide the one-time password (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number for verification purposes.

4. Access Document Update Section:

   Click on ‘Document Update,’ and the existing details of the resident will be displayed on the screen.

5. Verify Details and Proceed:

   Verify the displayed details and click on the next hyperlink to continue with the update process.

6. Select Proof of Identity and Proof of Address Documents:

   Choose the relevant Proof of Identity and Proof of Address documents from the dropdown list provided.

7. Upload Address Proof:

   Upload a scanned copy of the selected address proof document as part of the update process.

8. Submit the Update Request:

   After uploading the necessary documents, click on the ‘Submit’ button to initiate the update request.

9. Generation of Update Request Number (URN):

   Upon successful submission, a 14-digit Update Request Number (URN) will be generated, confirming the acceptance of the update request.

Important Notes:

– The service for updating Aadhaar card details online for free is exclusively available on the myAadhaar portal.

– For physical updates at Common Services Centres (CSC), a fee of ₹50 is applicable.
