Deepika Padukone Dons Elegant Hijab, Ranveer Singh Flaunts Rugged Beard in Soulful New Ad Shot in Abu Dhabi
Bollywood power couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are once again sharing screen space, this time in a stunning new advertisement for Visit Abu Dhabi. The beautifully shot campaign marks their first professional appearance together since the birth of their child, and their first on-screen reunion after Singham Again.
Shared via a joint Instagram post captioned “Mera Sukoon,” the ad captures the couple exploring Abu Dhabi’s rich culture and tranquil beauty, wrapped in an atmosphere of reflection and subtle romance. What caught the audience’s attention instantly was Deepika’s graceful appearance in a hijab and Ranveer’s rugged bearded look — a transformation that quickly sparked conversations across social media.
The ad begins with Ranveer marveling at an ancient artefact in a museum, pondering, “90 AD — can you imagine this level of detailing back then? Sometimes I wonder, what would my pose be if they made a statue of me?” Deepika, always quick with a playful remark, replies, “You definitely deserve to be in a museum.”
This light banter sets the tone for a journey that feels both intimate and philosophical. As they continue wandering through Abu Dhabi’s serene landscapes, Ranveer wonders what life would be like if they had grown up elsewhere. Deepika thoughtfully responds, “Interesting… Some places ask us questions we never ask ourselves.”
Their exchanges feel genuine, and the dialogue flows like a quiet conversation between two people who’ve grown together, deepened by love and introspection. Ranveer adds, “There are some places that just let us listen. Let me show you…” Deepika follows, “It’s amazing how silence can feel like someone is speaking back.” The campaign closes on a poignant note: “It’s just Abu Dhabi. It’s like a pause button,” Ranveer says, while Deepika reflects, “We travel to see the world, but sometimes we end up seeing ourselves.”
Reactions poured in online the moment the video surfaced. One fan admired, “This gorgeous hijab gave a glamorous look to Deepika,” while another noted, “Their respect for Arab cultures and her wearing the hijab increases my love for her.” “She looks amazing with hijab,” wrote another. Ranveer’s bearded look also earned praise, with many calling it one of his most refined appearances in recent times.
The ad itself felt more like a short film, blending quiet emotion, culture, and travel without overwhelming narration or forced glamour. It also fits into the growing trend of celebrity tourism promotions, much like Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s Visit Dubai collaboration.
On the work front, both actors have a packed lineup. Deepika is set to appear in Shah Rukh Khan’s much-anticipated action film King, which also features Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan. Following that, she’ll team up with Allu Arjun for Atlee’s upcoming action drama, tentatively titled AA22xA6. Ranveer, meanwhile, is prepping for Aditya Dhar’s next big project, Dhurandhar.
