Delhi Traffic Police issues traffic advisory ahead of marriage season

Pune: Over a few lakh marriage ceremonies are planned to happen in Delhi soon. Hence, in view of this, the Delhi Traffic Police have issued a list of heavy traffic roads in the city.

As per further information from the X handle of Delhi Traffic Police, ‘Due to marriage season, some roads will experience a heavy volume of traffic. Kindly follow the advisory to avoid any inconvenience.’

Heavy traffic flow is expected on the following roads:

• Mandir Marg

• NH-48 From Dhaula Kuan To Rajokri.   

  Flyover

• Palam Road

• Matadin Marg

• Bijwasan-Najafgarh Road

• Satguru Ram Singh Marg from Maya Puri Chowk to Lajwant Chowk

• Girdhari Lal Goswami Marg

• Najafgarh Road From Zakhira to Dwarka Mor

• Rama Road

• Road No. 28 Shivaji Place, Vishal Enclave, Raja Garden

• GT Road, Shahdara

• New Rohtak Road from R/A Punjabi Bagh to Nangloi Chowk

• Kanjhawala Road

• GT Karnal Road from Gurudwara Nanak Piao Sahib towards Mukarba Chowk and vice-versa

• Bhagwan Mahavir Marg from Madhuban Chowk towards Rithala Metro Station and vice-versa

• Bakhtawarpur Road from Shani Mandir, NH-44 to Palla Bakhtawarpur Chowk

• Najafgarh Firni Road

• Road No. 201, Dwarka from Palam Flyover to Raja Puri Red Light

Delhi Traffic Police has issued some instructions for general public:

1. People are requested to avail public transport like DTC Buses, Delhi Metro etc. to help decongestion of roads.

2. Park your vehicles only at designated parking lots.

3. Roadside parking must be avoided as it causes hindrance to normal flow of traffic.

4. General public and motorists are advised to have patience, observe traffic rules & road discipline and follow directions of traffic personnel deployed at all intersections.

5. People are requested to plan their journey in advance to avoid inconvenience.
