Dr. Rajeev Chavan, IDAS, NDC joins as Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Officers)
Dr. Rajeev Chavan, IDAS, NDC has taken over as Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Officers) on 17.05.2021. He is an IDAS Officer of the 1990 IDAS and joined the service in September 1991. Dr. Rajeev Chavan had done his MBBS from Govt Medical College, Nagpur University in 1985. He is a law graduate from Rani Durgawati University, Jabalpur.
He has got vast experience in dealing with financial matters, Audit, Accounting, Payments and Personnel issues in his professional carrier and official life. He held the prestigious post of Director in Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment of Delhi wef 04/08/2008 to 18/06/2010 wherein he looked after important portfolio of Administration, Establishment, Official Language, NGO and Commission like NSCC, Eleven National Institute & Foundations of Dr. Ambedkar and Jagjivan Ram. Thereafter he handled the charge of CFA in (FYS) Ambajahri a most important and prized scalp of Dept of Defence Production coming under the ambit of OFB, Kolkata, He has also held the charge of IFA in (Capital-AF) Delhi, IFA (Capital – Navy) Delhi Besides above he also has a vast experience of working in many Ordnance and Vehicle Factories, Regional and Functional Controllers Office in various capacities and his last posting was PCDA (SWC) Jaipur Indian Army. He was student Officer of 58th National Defence College, New Delhi and has completed in Nov 2018. Prior to his promotion to HAG Grade he was here in Pune Station in CFA, Kirkee. A popular face and dynamic officer in the ordnance set up and family.
The Office of the PCDA (O) caters to over 50000 serving Army Officer, from Chief of Defence Staff (of the rank of General) to young Officers (of the rank of Lieutenant). The office also deals with pre-audit, pay and allowances and all claims of Officers of Indian Army. We are the fourth arm of the Defence (Indian Army) providing services to the services that is the sentinels of the Frontier & Guardians of the interior of the nation.
