Fahadh Faasil, Pushpa star, uses a 2G keypad phone that’s 20 times costlier than an iPhone — no social media, no smartphone

Pushpa Actor Fahadh Faasil Uses ₹10 Lakh Luxury Keypad Phone, Sparks Online Buzz
Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil is once again in the spotlight—not for a film, but for his unusual choice of mobile phone. A video of the actor attending a puja ceremony for his upcoming film Mollywood Times on July 16 has gone viral. The clip shows him using a classic keypad phone, surprising many fans on social media.
The device seen in the video is not a regular budget phone. According to a report by Hindustan Times, the actor is using a Vertu Ascent Retro Classic, a luxury keypad phone made by UK-based company Vertu. The phone is priced at around USD 11,920 (over ₹10 lakh). Launched in 2008, the model is now out of stock on the official website.
Despite its simple look, the phone boasts titanium build, sapphire crystal screen, and hand-stitched leather finish. It includes features like Bluetooth, GPRS, SMS, and MMS, and offers 24/7 concierge services in 170+ countries via a side button. The phone weighs 173 grams and is about 22 mm thick, featuring a patented stainless-steel keypad.
A Life Without Social Media

Actor Vinay Forrt recently confirmed this in an interview, stating that Fahadh prefers using basic phones.
