Pune: The Dapodi Police have registered a case against five individuals for allegedly obstructing government work during the execution of a court-ordered property attachment. The incident occurred on December 11, 2024, and the complaint was filed by Vishal Anktharai Manale, a 29-year-old business lawyer from Pune’s Prabhat Road.
The accused include Anil Mundaram Choudhary (25), Kamla Anil Chaudhary (28), Bhandaram Jodharam Chaudhary (49), Palidevi Mundaram Baudhari (40), and Makarand Shankardev (48).
According to the complaint, the accused obstructed police and officials from ATR&T Finance and L&T Finance while they were carrying out legal proceedings based on a property attachment order issued by the Chief Magistrate of Shivajinagar, Pune. The accused reportedly pushed police officers and engaged in a heated argument with the complainant, leading to injuries and disrupting government operations.
The Dapodi Police have registered the case under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita, including Sections 121(1), 132, 352, 3(5), 351(2)(3), and 189(1)(2)(3)(5).
Speaking about the incident, Police Inspector of Dapodi Police Station stated, “All five accused were arrested and later granted bail by the court. However, the case has been registered, and further investigations are ongoing.”
The incident underscores the challenges faced by law enforcement and financial institutions in executing court-mandated orders.
