Former ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ Actor Files FIR Against Producer Asit Modi for Alleged Assault

An FIR has been filed against the producer of popular TV show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, Asit Modi, along with the show’s operation head Sohail Ramani and executive producer Jatin Bajaj. The complaint of assault was lodged by a female actor who previously worked on the show. However, no arrests have been made so far.

According to reports, the FIR has been registered under sections 354 and 509 of the Indian Penal Code, which pertain to assault or criminal force against a woman with the intention to outrage her modesty.

The Powai Police in Mumbai have taken the statement of the actor regarding her allegations of sexual harassment against Asit Modi and two other crew members. They plan to summon Asit Modi for his statement as well.

In response to the allegations, Asit Modi has denied all wrongdoing, stating that legal action will be taken against the actor for attempting to defame him and the show. He claims that the allegations are baseless and that they arose after the termination of her services.

This incident has sparked a significant controversy surrounding the popular TV show, with further developments expected as the investigation progresses.
