Good News for Homebuyers: MHADA Extends Pune Housing Lottery Deadline, Draw Now on December 11
Pune: Homebuyers in Pune and nearby regions have more time to apply for the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority’s (MHADA) ongoing housing lottery. The Pune Housing and Area Development Board has extended the application deadline to 11:59 p.m. on November 20, 2025, allowing citizens additional time to complete registrations for 4,186 affordable homes across Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, the PMRDA region, and the districts of Solapur, Kolhapur, and Sangli.
Revised Draw Schedule
According to the updated timeline, the computerized draw will be held on December 11, 2025, at 12:00 noon. Applicants can continue paying their Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) online until November 20, while RTGS or NEFT transactions will be accepted until the end of banking hours on November 21, 2025.
Scheme Details
The current housing initiative covers multiple categories:
- 1,683 flats under the MHADA Housing Scheme (First Come, First Served).
- 299 flats under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) (FCFS basis).
- 864 flats under the 15% Inclusive Housing Scheme within the PMRDA region.
- 3,222 flats under the 20% Inclusive Housing Scheme within PMC, PCMC, and PMRDA limits.
Extension Based on Public Requests
Rahul Sakore, Chief Officer of the Pune Board, said the extension follows multiple requests from citizens seeking more time to arrange documents and complete their applications. He urged applicants to use only the official MHADA portals — https://lottery.mhada.gov.in and https://bookmyhome.mhada.gov.in — for FCFS registrations.
A detailed information booklet explaining the registration and payment steps is also available at https://housing.mhada.gov.in.
Helpline and Fraud Advisory
For assistance, applicants can contact the MHADA helpline at 022-69468100.
Sakore cautioned that MHADA has not appointed any private agents or brokers for this lottery. Citizens should avoid dealing with unauthorized intermediaries, as any private transaction outside official platforms will be at the applicant’s own risk.
