Influencer Revant Himatsingka receives a heartfelt note from Air India pilots for his efforts in promoting healthier eating habits.

Influencer Revant Himatsingka, known as Food Pharmer received a note from the pilots of his Air India flight this morning, thanking him for his efforts to promote healthier eating habits among Indians. The note, signed by “Chandni and Rinkesh,” praised Himatsingka for his work in exposing the unhealthy content of pre-packaged foods.

Himatsingka, who has 2.6 million followers on Instagram, is known for highlighting the misleading marketing tactics of pre-packaged food products.

A Wharton graduate, he encourages his audience to avoid unhealthy pre-packaged meals and junk food. He gained significant attention in April 2023 when he revealed the high sugar content in Bournvita, a beverage marketed as a health supplement for children. This led to a legal notice from the brand but ultimately forced Bournvita to reduce the sugar content in its product.

Recently, Himatsingka shared a video exposing the high sodium content in meals served on Indigo flights. The video clip showed the comparison between the sodium levels in upma, poha, and dal chawal to that in Maggi noodles. He pointed out that while these meals may seem healthier than Maggi, they may not be as nutritious as they appear.

This morning, Himatsingka shared a picture of the note he received while traveling on an Air India flight. “An Air India pilot wrote this heartwarming note on a flight I took today,” he posted on X.

The note read, “Dear Food Pharmer (Revant), firstly thank you for opening our eyes with your amazing content. Your initiative has helped India read the labels before making purchases. You’re a revolution for us and the coming generation who have now realized – ‘Padhega India tabhi toh sahi khayega India.’ It’s an honour to meet you in person. God bless you.”

The post received positive reactions from followers, with many expressing their gratitude to Food Pharmer.

“Well done Revant. You deserve that lovely note,” commented one person.

“Amazing work,” said another.
