Heaven Park residents stage protest; demand adequate water supply and proper road

Heaven Park residents, Swarajya Police Mitra, Patrakar Sanrakshan and Mahiti Adhikar Sanghatana jointly held a protest outside the Pune Municipal Corporation headquarters on December 13. The residents demanded adequate water supply, installation of booster pump for proper distribution of water, good roads, maintaining cleanliness in the area.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Jagmit Singh Kochhar said, “We live on top of the hill, where water supply with adequate pressure is a big problem. In the past we had written to many departments, water, road, light, etc regarding various issues in the area but none of the complaint has been resolved. We have been fighting for the last 8 years now.”

Another resident of Heaven Park, Uday Salve informed, “For the last 8-10 years we have been living without proper roads, adequate water supply and street lights. We have raised these issues with the local representatives, ward offices, various department heads, etc but there has been no response yet. Hence we decided to protest to bring to the notice of the PMC the problems we are facing.”
