According to Bunty Rathore, a resident of the area and son of the injured woman, the children involved were his nephew and niece—Vivaan and Yashika—and their neighbors Vaishali and her cousin Anisha. CCTV footage clearly shows the vehicle dragging the victims for a short distance after impact.
All five victims were rushed to nearby hospitals for emergency treatment. Indra Bai sustained a serious head injury and is expected to undergo surgery. Yashika had injuries on her hand and head and underwent a critical five-hour surgery. Vivaan suffered deep wounds to his hand, nose, and mouth. Vaishali was found with a fractured arm and back injuries, while Anisha sustained multiple injuries to her limbs. Two of the children are being treated at a private hospital in Vigyan Nagar, and all are reported to be in critical condition.
Police have identified the driver as Chirag Jangid, who is currently on the run. A case has been registered based on a formal complaint filed by Bunty Rathore, Hemant Rathore, and Manoj Mehra at the Anantpura Police Station. Assistant Sub-Inspector Ghamandi Lal confirmed that CCTV footage is being used as key evidence in the investigation and that a manhunt is underway to locate the absconding accused.
The brutal crash has left the local community in shock, with many residents describing the aftermath as harrowing. Families of the victims are demanding strict action against the accused and justice for their loved ones.
