Mira-Bhayandar has been shaken by a disturbing video from Matoshree Indirabai Baburao Sarnaik Cashless MBMC Hospital, where a heart patient pleading for help was allegedly treated rudely by a doctor. The clip, which has gone viral on social media, has triggered outrage over the lack of empathy shown by medical staff in government hospitals.

The footage shows the patient, visibly in pain, saying, “I am dying.” Instead of offering comfort or assistance, the female doctor replies coldly, “Then go down and talk to him.” When the patient explains he already approached the staff, the doctor becomes angry and says, “I told you I’m discharging you. Leave from here. Why are you telling me this? You’re asking me to fear God — why should I be afraid?”

The patient’s helplessness and the doctor’s dismissive tone have left viewers shocked. Many social media users described the incident as a glaring example of vanishing compassion in healthcare. Some demanded that the doctor be suspended, while others said such behavior exposed the grim reality of treatment in hospitals run under government and municipal health schemes.

Several posts also tagged political leaders, urging them to take action against the hospital management. Questions were raised about the Mira-Bhayandar Municipal Corporation’s oversight and the treatment of patients, especially those from Below Poverty Line (BPL) families who rely on free medical services.

One user called the video a “reality check” on how patients are often stripped of dignity in the very places meant to heal them. The criticism reflects growing frustration over what many see as arrogance among some medical professionals.

The video, first shared on X (formerly Twitter), continues to circulate widely, with calls for accountability gaining momentum.
